What are Public Performance Rights?

Public Performance Rights are what allow you to legally show a movie in a public setting.

They are required for student club activities, film series, and any other type of public screening.

They are not required if it is in a classroom setting or for your own home viewing.

Films with Public Performance Rights
Anything Whitman has the public performance rights for will have it noted in the catalog record. If you are searching in the catalog for films for a public viewing, amend "Public Performance Rights for Whitman College" to your search. If you have any questions about a film, please don't hesitate to ask a librarian.
