US Government Documents: State and Local Documents

Washington State government documents

You can search for Washington State government publications via the Washington State Library (choose to search in Washington State Publications).

The State of Washington provides information on administration and services via its webpage. The Washington State Library also provides a helpful list of links for research related to state government. Topics include general government information, laws, legislature, governors, courts, facts & statistics, elections & voting, maps, history, and tourism. You can also find websites for state agencies, boards, and commissions.

The University of Washington library guide on State and Local government publications also has many useful links.

Penrose Library is not a Washington State depository library. Full depository libraries for documents published by the state of Washington include the libraries at Eastern Washington University, Central Washington University, Washington State University and the University of Washington, as well as the Washington State Library. See a list of Washington State depository libraries. The nearest partial depository library to Whitman College is Richland Public Library.

Penrose Library has a small collection of Washington State documents in the government documents section on the first floor.
